Can shampoo cause hair fall?

Lately, I've noticed my hair thinning and more hair falling out in the shower. I changed my shampoo a few months ago. Is it possible that my shampoo is causing hair fall?

Honestly, at this age, even looking at the comb too hard causes hair fall. But seriously, some strong shampoos with too many chemicals definitely dry out the roots. Don't go bald trying to smell like lavender, just use a mild baby shampoo if needed.

Actually yaar, most cheap shampoos have sulfates which totally ruin the scalp barrier. I was facing massive hair fall last year because of this daily washing habit. Switched to a mild, sulfate-free one and my hair is much happier now.

Haan na, too much washing is actually bad for the hair. We use so much chemical shampoo thinking it will make hair shiny, but it damages the roots instead. Better to wash only twice a week and dilute the shampoo with some water first.

Agree with others, harsh chemicals in shampoo definitely cause breakage. Try using a gentle pH-balanced cleanser and don't rub your scalp too vigorously.

Shampoo only cleans the surface, but strong ones strip away natural oils causing breakage. Along with choosing a gentle herbal shampoo, I suggest doing daily Balayam for 10 minutes. It naturally increases blood circulation to the hair follicles.

My grandmother always used to say that nothing beats home-made shikakai for hair health. But when my hair fall got really severe, my doctor advised that a mild clinical shampoo is best. It is always wise to get a dermatologist's opinion if the falling doesn't stop.

No need to buy expensive salon shampoos, just do some simple changes at home. Oil your hair lightly a few hours before washing so the shampoo doesn't dry it out. And don't use hot water on your head, normal water is much safer for hair roots.
