Can scoliosis cause pain in upper back?

I've had scoliosis since childhood, and recently my upper back has been really hurting, especially after sitting for long hours. Is this pain directly related to my condition, or could it be something else?

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai yaar. Jab spine thodi curved hoti hai, toh upper back ke muscles par extra pressure padta hi hai na. Tum thoda light stretching try karo aur agar jyada pain hai toh orthopedist ko dikha lo.

Definitely. When the spine is out of line, certain muscles have to overcompensate, leading to severe knots in the upper back. Focus on strengthening your core and upper back muscles under a professional trainer's guidance, and keep your protein intake good for muscle recovery.

I have mild scoliosis and yeah, upper back pain is like a daily thing for me if I sit too long. Especially around the shoulder blades, the muscle pull is real. Regular posture breaks and basic back stretches are the only things that keep me going.

My doctor told me that nerve and muscle strains from scoliosis can feel even more intense if your body is dealing with other issues like high blood sugar. I always make sure to keep my diabetes in check with proper food and light walks, but for the back pain, a physiotherapist is the best person to consult.

I have been living with scoliosis for twenty years now. Yes, upper back pain is very common because the body is constantly trying to balance itself. My best advice is to invest in a really good ergonomic chair, avoid lifting heavy weights improperly, and do prescribed back-strengthening exercises daily.

My teenage daughter has scoliosis and she often complains about upper back and neck pain after studying for hours. We found that taking regular breaks, using a book stand, and doing targeted exercises given by her physio made a huge difference. Please get a proper diagnosis for a customized plan.

Oh yes, it absolutely can! My friend has this and she gets that annoying upper back ache quite often. But don't worry, a little bit of physical therapy and some relaxing warm baths can do wonders for those tired muscles! Keep smiling!
