Can scalp eczema cause hair loss?

Recurring scalp eczema is something I deal with, and recently I've noticed quite a bit of hair fall. I'm really concerned. Is it possible that my scalp eczema is causing this hair loss, or should I look for other reasons?

Haan na, it definitely can cause hair fall, but mostly because of all the constant scratching. When the scalp gets so itchy and we scratch it, the hair roots get damaged. Once the eczema swelling is under control with proper lotion, the hair fall also stops. Don't worry too much.

Yes, it can cause temporary shedding because of the inflammation and itching. But the good news is that this hair loss is not permanent. Once you treat the eczema with a good soothing shampoo, your hair will grow back nicely. Keep smiling and don't scratch your scalp.

Yes, it does cause hair loss because of inflamed follicles and scratching. A good ketoconazole shampoo prescribed by my doctor helped stop both the eczema and the hair fall.

I lost so much hair when my scalp eczema was at its worst, and I completely freaked out thinking I'd lose all my hair. But my dermatologist reassured me that once the scalp inflammation healed, the hair would return. And it actually did! Just focus on healing the scalp first, the hair will take care of itself.

Yes, the irritation and scratching from eczema can make hair roots weak and cause fall. Please don't be disheartened, this is very common and your hair will recover once the scalp heals. Take care of yourself.

Hey, don't stress too much about the hair loss right now! Eczema just irritates the scalp temporarily, which makes some hair fall out, but it's not permanent balding. Just use the mild shampoo your doc gave, avoid scratching, and your hair will be back to normal soon. You got this!
