Can pregnancy cause stomach ache?

I've been having mild stomach aches on and off since I got pregnant. Sometimes it feels like period pain, sometimes just a general discomfort. Is it normal to experience stomach aches during pregnancy?

Hey, don't stress too much! Mild stomach aches are super common as your uterus is stretching and your digestion goes a bit slow. Just lie down, rest, and drink some warm water. If the pain gets really sharp, then definitely call your doc.

I literally just went through this last week in my second trimester. It turned out to be round ligament pain and a bit of gas. Resting on my side with a pillow between my knees gave me so much relief. It's scary but usually quite normal.

Yes, mild stomach discomfort is quite common due to digestion changes and stretching muscles. Please take adequate rest and keep your doctor informed about any pain you feel. I hope you feel better soon.

When my daughter was expecting, she used to get frequent stomach aches due to severe gas and stretching muscles. I used to give her light, warm meals and make sure she walked slowly after eating. Keep an eye on it, and if it feels intense, check with your clinic.

Stomach aches during pregnancy can range from simple bloating and constipation to round ligament pain. However, severe or persistent pain, especially accompanied by cramping, bleeding, or fever, is a red flag. You must consult your doctor immediately in such cases.

In our times, we always suggested sipping warm water with a tiny pinch of roasted cumin powder to ease digestion aches. The body undergoes many changes now, so do not strain yourself. But if the pain is severe, please do not wait at home; consult your doctor.
