Can pregnancy cause high blood pressure?

My gynaecologist has started monitoring my blood pressure more closely in my last trimester. She mentioned that some women develop high BP during pregnancy, which sounds a bit scary. Is it possible for pregnancy to cause high blood pressure?

Yes, pregnancy can definitely cause high blood pressure, and it is something you should watch closely. I had to monitor my BP at home weekly. Please keep your doctor updated about any sudden headache or swelling in your feet.

Do not look for home remedies or trust internet advice for high blood pressure during pregnancy. It is a serious clinical condition called gestational hypertension. You need to consult your gynecologist immediately and get professional medical monitoring.

Hey, please don't stress too much, but high BP is something your doctor needs to know about right away. It is actually quite common in the second half of pregnancy. Just give your doctor a call and let them guide you, okay?

I know how terrifying it is to see a high reading on the BP machine when you are pregnant, I used to cry out of worry. But please, take a deep breath and call your doctor. They will help manage it safely and keep you and the baby out of danger.

As someone who has managed high BP for years, I can tell you that routine checkups are your best friend. Pregnancy puts a lot of stress on your blood vessels, so keeping track of your readings is crucial. Let your doctor handle this with proper medication if needed.

Haan beta, pregnancy during high BP is very common, but you must take rest. Don't take tension or do heavy work. Please go to the hospital and show the doctor, they will give safe medicine to keep you both healthy.

Gestational hypertension can sometimes link with other metabolic changes during pregnancy. It is very important to watch your diet, limit extra salt, and keep your regular doctor appointments. Do not self-treat this under any circumstances.

High blood pressure during pregnancy is not something you should take lightly or wait out. It can lead to complications for both you and the baby if left unmanaged. Please get it checked by your obstetrician as soon as possible.
