Can pregnancy cause headaches?

I'm in my first trimester and have been getting headaches almost every day. They are not very severe, but enough to be annoying. Is it normal to experience headaches frequently during pregnancy?

Oh, absolutely. Sometimes a headache is just your body screaming for some water or because you missed your morning tea time. Try eating small, frequent meals because low blood sugar during pregnancy also triggers them. Do check with your doctor before taking any pill though.

Yes, headaches are quite common due to the massive surge in hormones and blood circulation. Please don't take any random painkiller from the medical store without asking your doctor first. Just rest in a dark room and drink plenty of fluids today.

I had terrible tension headaches in my first trimester. What really helped me was putting a cool damp cloth on my forehead and resting. Definitely tell your gynecologist about them so they can guide you safely.

My bhabhi used to get these really bad headaches during her third month. She said the doctor told her it is normal due to hormonal shifts and blood pressure changes. She just slept it off most of the time.

The mind and body undergo so much change during this beautiful phase, which can cause tension headaches. Gentle deep breathing and light stretching in a quiet room can help release the stress. Always consult your doctor to ensure everything is on track.

Please be very careful with headaches during pregnancy, especially if you are in your second or third trimester. If the headache is severe, constant, or accompanied by blurry vision, it could be a sign of high blood pressure. You should consult your doctor immediately.

Yes, it is very common. Just try to stay well hydrated and get enough rest, but do inform your doctor during your next visit.
