Can prediabetes cause hair loss?

Since my pre-diabetes diagnosis a few months back, I've noticed my hair falling out more than usual. Could there be a connection between pre-diabetes and hair loss?

Bro, yes it does! When my HbA1c was in the prediabetic range, my hair was thinning like crazy. Insulin resistance messed up my blood circulation and scalp health, but once I cut down on sugar and started lifting weights, the shedding actually controlled a lot.

Look, prediabetes means your body is struggling to manage glucose, which causes internal inflammation and damages your hair follicles. Stop searching for expensive hair oils on the internet. Go fix your diet, walk for 45 minutes daily, and control your blood sugar first.

People online will tell you ten different home remedies like onion juice, but that won't cure insulin issues. If your blood sugar is high and you have hair loss, you need to consult an endocrinologist. Let them check your hormone levels and guide you clinically.

In my experience with PCOS and insulin resistance, there is a very strong link with hair fall. But I wouldn't say it's just prediabetes; it could also be thyroid or vitamin deficiencies like B12 and D3 which are super common in India. Please get a full blood panel done before jumping to conclusions.

Yes, high sugar can cause hair fall, but you don't need to spend thousands on fancy clinics. Just replace your white rice with dahlia or brown rice, cut out sweet chai, and do basic exercises at home. Controlling your diet naturally helps both your sugar levels and your hair.

My uncle had a similar issue with hair thinning when his sugar was borderline. My mother suggested applying pure coconut oil with curry leaves, which helped the scalp, but he also strictly followed the doctor's metformin prescription and diet chart. Combining safe traditional care with medical advice is always the best path.
