Can poor diet cause hair loss?

I've noticed my hair thinning quite a bit recently, and I admit my diet hasn't been the best due to work stress. My wife suggested it might be connected. Can a poor diet cause hair loss, or is it more likely genetics?

Bro, yes, 100%. I was eating junk food and skipping meals during my exam months, and my hair started falling out like crazy. I started eating home food again and taking basic multi-vitamins my doc suggested, and it finally stopped.

Absolutely, hair is made of protein, so if you are low on protein and essential fats, hair fall is the first thing that happens. Try adding more eggs, paneer, or nuts to your meals and see the difference. No fancy shampoos can fix what a bad diet ruins.

A lack of vitamins like B12 and iron, which are often low in vegetarian diets, can definitely cause hair thinning. Make sure you are eating a variety of dals, green leafy veggies, and seeds daily. Do consult a nutritionist or doctor before starting high-dose supplements.

Yes, poor diet is a huge reason. Getting a simple blood test done to check your iron and Vitamin D levels helps identify what exactly is missing.

I went through terrible hair fall after a crash diet. The only thing that worked was consistency: eating a fistful of soaked almonds and walnuts daily, and focusing on curry leaves and amla. Give it at least three months, hair takes time to grow back, so don't lose patience.

I tried all kinds of expensive onion oils and hair masks, but nothing worked until I fixed my inside nutrition. Your hair needs protein and iron, so focus on eating well-balanced meals. Those fancy home remedy packs only help with shine, not real hair fall.
