Can polycystic ovaries affect pregnancy?

My friend has polycystic ovaries and is trying to conceive, but she's worried about complications. Is it true that polycystic ovaries can affect pregnancy and make it difficult to carry to term? I'm curious for her sake.

I completely understand the panic you must be feeling right now, I was in the exact same boat and couldn't sleep for weeks thinking about it. But honestly, while PCOS makes conceiving a bit trickier due to irregular ovulation, it is so common and highly treatable. Take a deep breath, many women with PCOS have perfectly healthy pregnancies once they get the right guidance.

My wife had to manage this, and the biggest challenge was handling the intense carb cravings because of the insulin resistance. Once we figured out how to swap heavy maida with better alternatives and kept her stress low, things got way easier. It takes time, but don't worry, you can still enjoy good food and manage this.

Let's be direct: yes, it can affect your fertility because you don't ovulate regularly. But it is definitely not an end-of-the-road situation. Get a solid endocrinologist and a good gynecologist on board, do your tests, and follow their plan instead of stressing out over Google search results.

It does affect pregnancy because of the hormonal imbalance, but lifestyle is your biggest tool here. Focusing on strength training and keeping your insulin levels stable through balanced meals makes a massive difference in egg quality. It's all about consistency, not perfection.

My older sister was super stressed about this last year when she got married. She has PCOS too, but her doctor just put her on some simple supplements and tracking, and she's doing absolutely fine now. So chill, dont read too many scary posts online.
