Can plan b cause ectopic pregnancy?

Someone on a forum mentioned that Plan B could increase the risk of an ectopic pregnancy. This has really scared me. Is there any scientific basis to believe that Plan B can lead to an ectopic pregnancy?

I was actually researching this online because I heard some rumors. It seems Plan B doesn't actually cause an ectopic pregnancy, but if the pill fails and you still get pregnant, there is a slightly higher chance of it being ectopic. It's really interesting how the hormones work.

In our family, we are always taught to be very careful with emergency pills as they are very strong. While Plan B itself does not cause ectopic pregnancies, if you experience severe one-sided lower abdominal pain or unusual bleeding after taking it, please consult a gynecologist immediately.

Look, let's be very clear: Plan B does not cause an ectopic pregnancy. It is just a contraceptive. But if you have severe abdominal pain or heavy bleeding after taking it, don't sit at home guessing. Go see a doctor immediately.

I recently had to go through a scare after taking an emergency pill. It didn't cause an ectopic pregnancy, but the hormonal imbalance made me feel really sick. If you have sharp cramping or spotting, please do a pregnancy test and see a doctor to rule out any complications.

My gynecologist told me that Plan B (levonorgestrel) does not increase the risk of ectopic pregnancy. However, if the emergency contraception fails and pregnancy does occur, you must monitor for ectopic symptoms. If you experience sharp pelvic pain, go to the hospital right away.

While you can drink ginger tea to calm the nausea after taking the pill, please remember that ectopic pregnancy is a serious medical emergency. Plan B doesn't cause it, but if you have severe stomach pain, do not try home remedies. Go straight to a clinic.
