Can parathyroid cause hair loss?

I've been experiencing significant hair fall for the past few months, more than usual. My doctor suggested checking my thyroid, but a friend recently asked if it could be related to my parathyroid glands. Is there a connection between parathyroid issues and hair loss?

Yes, parathyroid issues affect your body's calcium and vitamin D levels, which are absolutely crucial for healthy hair follicles. While eating calcium-rich vegetarian foods like ragi and dairy is helpful, diet alone cannot cure a parathyroid disorder. Please consult a doctor to get your hormone levels checked properly.

As someone who has struggled with thyroid issues for years, I know how hormonal imbalances completely destroy your hair. Parathyroid glands regulate calcium, and any imbalance there can definitely cause severe hair shedding. Please get a regular blood panel done and follow up closely with an endocrinologist.

Wait, I actually had no idea parathyroid could cause hair loss, but apparently it messes with calcium levels which totally ruins hair health. If you are losing a lot of hair, don't just change your shampoo. Go get a proper blood test done, it might save you a lot of stress.

Yes, hyperparathyroidism can cause hair loss because it disrupts calcium levels in the body. When I went to a major hospital for my family's checkup, the specialists emphasized how important it is to ask your doctor clearly about the connection between calcium and hair. Get your PTH levels tested.

Hormonal issues like parathyroid disorders can definitely cause hair thinning due to calcium imbalance. Along with medical treatment, keeping your blood circulation active through light walking or daily exercise helps, provided your doctor permits it. Make sure to get a proper diagnosis first.

Haan beta, our body is very delicate and when the hormones go out of balance, the hair starts falling out like leaves. Don't worry or get scared, just go to a good doctor in town and get your blood checked. They will give you the right medicine and everything will be fine.

Yes, parathyroid issues mess with calcium levels, which can impact your hair health. To support your body, focus on a high-protein diet and strength training, but remember that fitness alone won't fix a hormonal issue. You definitely need to see a specialist to get your PTH levels regulated.

I completely understand how heartbreaking it is to see your hair thinning out so much. Parathyroid issues can definitely cause this because of how they affect calcium absorption in our body. Definitely see an endocrinologist soon to get it sorted, and don't lose heart, it will get better!
