Can pancreas cause weight gain?

I've gained quite a bit of weight in the last year despite no major changes to my diet or activity. I've been getting some stomach discomfort too. Can problems with the pancreas actually cause weight gain?

Honestly, my body gains weight just by looking at a gulab jamun, but yes, insulin issues from the pancreas can absolutely cause it. Staying up late typing this isn't helping my metabolism either. If your pancreas is producing too much insulin, it locks away fat like a locker keys-less vault.

Look, the pancreas makes insulin, and if that is out of balance, your weight will definitely shoot up. Stop stressing over random internet articles and go get an insulin fasting test done. Eating right and getting a test is the only way forward, simple as that.

I have thyroid issues so I know how annoying hormonal weight gain is, and the pancreas is no different with its insulin. You should get a full pancreatic profile and thyroid checkup done. Regular blood tests are the only way to track what is actually happening inside.

In my fifty years I have seen how our bodies change. When my husband's pancreas was struggling, he started gaining weight around his belly very quickly. Don't worry child, once the doctor adjusted his diet and medicine, everything came back to normal.

While pancreatic issues like insulin resistance can cause weight fluctuations, it is best not to guess. Weight gain can be due to so many underlying reasons. Please schedule an appointment with a general physician to rule out anything serious.

I used to ignore my sudden weight gain thinking it was just stress, but it turned out my pancreas was struggling with pre-diabetes. By the time I went to the clinic, my sugar levels were sky high. Please get a checkup immediately before it becomes harder to manage.
