At my age, my organs are already on a union strike, so kidney health is nothing to joke about! Yes, these injections can cause dehydration, which heavily stresses the kidneys. Drink lots of water, and please keep your doctor informed if you feel off.

Beta, these heavy English medicines put a lot of load on our filtration system. You must drink plenty of water and maybe have light coconut water to keep your body cool. But do not ignore this; please go to a good doctor and get your kidneys checked.

Yes, it can, especially if you get severely dehydrated from nausea or vomiting. I had kidney complications from a different medication because I didn't take my symptoms seriously. Please get your kidney function tests (KFT) done regularly and consult your doctor immediately.

Kidney issues are a known, though serious, risk, often triggered by severe dehydration from the drug's gastrointestinal side effects. If you're on this, tracking your daily water intake is non-negotiable. Don't wait for symptoms to worsen; consult your physician and get regular blood work.

I am quite new to this medication and just started reading about it. It is a bit scary to hear about kidney risks. Does anyone know if we need to do blood tests every month to keep an eye on this, or is it only if we feel sick?

Let's be direct—kidney damage is a serious risk if you experience severe vomiting or diarrhea on this drug and don't replenish fluids. You need to monitor your creatinine levels. If you notice a drop in urine output or swelling, get to a doctor immediately.

I am not a medical expert, but my doctor insisted on checking my kidney function before and during my treatment. He told me that staying hydrated is absolutely critical while on this medication. It’s always best to ask your own doctor what is safe for you.

Honestly, my uncle was on this and his doctor told him to drink at least 3 liters of water daily because of kidney risks. If you are feeling constantly dehydrated or dizzy, don't ignore it. Go get it checked by your doctor ASAP.
