Can ozempic cause hypoglycemia in non diabetics?

I'm taking Ozempic for weight management, and I don't have diabetes. Sometimes, I feel very shaky, dizzy, and weak, especially if I haven't eaten properly. Can Ozempic cause hypoglycemia even in non-diabetics?

I manage my thyroid and have learned that metabolic drugs can sometimes cause unexpected reactions in our systems. While Ozempic rarely causes low blood sugar on its own in non-diabetics, it can happen if you are eating too little. Keep a regular check on your blood levels and consult your doctor if you feel dizzy.

Usually, this drug is pretty smart and only lowers sugar when it's high, so hypoglycemia is quite rare if you aren't diabetic! 😊 But if you are skipping meals, you might feel a bit lightheaded. Keep some healthy snacks nearby and talk to your doctor! 🍎

Bro, my cousin was taking this for weight loss and she felt super dizzy once because she barely ate anything all day. It’s probably not direct hypoglycemia, but more like starvation. Don't starve yourself on this, and definitely ask your doc if you keep feeling weak.

It can be quite concerning to feel dizzy or shaky when starting this medication. While true low blood sugar is rare for non-diabetics, it is still very important to monitor how you feel. Please consult your doctor to ensure your safety.

I can't give medical opinions, but when I took a similar medication for weight management, I had a couple of episodes where I felt very sweaty and shaky. My doctor told me to make sure I was eating regular, small meals. Definitely discuss your symptoms with your healthcare provider.

I was actually wondering the same thing because I felt really shaky and cold yesterday after my dose, and I don't have diabetes. Has anyone else experienced this? It made me so nervous, I'm thinking of calling my doctor tomorrow morning.

Beta, these heavy modern injections can sometimes make the body weak. If you feel dizzy or shaky, drink a glass of fresh lemon water with a pinch of salt and sugar to stabilize yourself. Do not stay on empty stomach, and please let your doctor know about this weakness.
