Can ovulation kit show pregnancy?
I'm trying to conceive and used an ovulation kit. I got a very dark line, and then my period was delayed. My friend told me sometimes an ovulation kit can show pregnancy. Is this true?

Sometimes they might show a positive line because LH and hCG hormones are structurally similar, but it is not a sure way. Please use a proper pregnancy test card or visit a doctor for a blood test to be safe.

Agree, they are not reliable for checking pregnancy. Better to wait for your missed period and take a standard hCG urine test.

Using an ovulation kit to find out if you are pregnant is like using a thermometer to check your blood pressure. Technically both deal with your body, but you're using the wrong tool. Just get a standard pregnancy test kit, spare yourself the confusion.

Haha, I know the suspense can make you want to use whatever test strip you have in the drawer. But save those ovulation kits for tracking, and grab a proper pregnancy test kit instead. Treat yourself to a nice mocktail while you wait.
