Can mold toxicity cause weight gain?

Despite my best efforts with diet and exercise, I've been gaining weight, and I heard someone mention mold toxicity. We did have some mold issues in our previous home. Is it possible that mold toxicity can cause weight gain?

Look, mold toxicity can cause bad fatigue and make your body feel sluggish, which might slow down your metabolism slightly. But it won't make you gain ten kilos out of nowhere. Fix your daily diet, start moving, and clean the damn mold from your walls instead of worrying.

Yes, I agree that mold toxins can cause bad bloating and slow down your system. Keeping your bedroom dry and well-ventilated is highly helpful for recovery.

Oh, I totally relate to this! When our kitchen had a major leakage and mold last year, I felt so bloated and heavy all the time, and my weight went up. Once we got the leakage fixed and I started drinking warm water daily, the bloating went down. Try to keep your space super dry!

Our bodies are highly sensitive to the energy and environment we live in. Mold toxicity can create a physical imbalance that manifests as weight gain or swelling. Try to stay positive, do some light breathing exercises in the morning sun, and take gentle care of your health.

To counter the metabolic sluggishness caused by mold toxins, it is very important to eat fresh, organic vegetarian food loaded with antioxidants. Avoid processed food and sugar, which only add to the inflammation. Drink warm green tea and consult a doctor if the weight gain continues.

I track my sleep and stress levels daily on my smartwatch, and mold toxicity definitely spikes physical stress (cortisol), which makes the body hold onto fat. It's a real physiological response. Try tracking your active calories and make sure your sleeping area has clean, dry air.

Beta, if there is dampness and bad air in the house, it makes our body feel heavy and lazy. When we don't feel active, we naturally gain weight. Please clean your rooms, let the fresh air and sunlight come in, and eat simple home-cooked food. God bless you.

As someone managing diabetes, I know that chronic inflammation from any source, including mold toxicity, can affect insulin resistance and lead to weight gain. Please focus on a high-fiber, low-sugar diet to manage your inflammation, and consult your doctor for proper metabolic tests.
