Can mold exposure cause hair loss?

I've noticed a significant amount of hair loss recently, which is unusual for me. We've also had some mold problems in our old rented house. I was wondering, can mold exposure actually cause hair loss?

Listen, mold can cause scalp irritation and severe itching if you live in a very damp house, which can definitely lead to hair fall. But don't just blame the mold. Get your diet checked and see a skin doctor instead of trying random things on your hair.

Honestly, between my 2 AM work calls, terrible sleep, and the mold growing in my damp bathroom, my hair is leaving me faster than my salary! Mold triggers allergies and stress which absolutely makes hair fall worse. I don't even know what to fix first, my sleep or my walls!

Beta, dampness and mold in the house ruin the health of both lungs and hair. I always advise applying pure coconut oil mixed with a little curry leaves to soothe the scalp. But you must also keep your living space clean and airy, as stale air is bad for the body.

I don't know about mold, but whenever I get stressed about my hair falling out, I just end up ordering extra cheesy momos to feel better! Though honestly, living in a damp room with mold might cause fungal infections on the scalp, which definitely hurts hair health. Eat good protein and keep your room dry!

Bro, I had terrible scalp itching and hair fall last year. Turns out, my gym locker room and my bedroom both had bad mold issues which triggered a scalp infection. Once I cleaned up my room and used an anti-fungal shampoo, my hair fall reduced majorly. Fix the dampness first.

Haan yaar, mold se scalp allergy ho sakti hai aur uski wajah se baal jhadne lagte hain na. Mere dost ke saath bhi yahi hua tha jab uske kamre me bahut seelan thi. Pehle toh deewar ki seelan theek karvao, aur acche dermatologist ko dikha lo ek baar.

I am so sorry to bother, but my hair has been falling out in clumps since we moved into our new damp apartment. I didn't know mold could do this. Does anyone know if the hair grows back once the mold is cleaned up? I am really worried about this.

At fifty, I am happy if even three hairs stay on my head! But yes, when our house got damp last monsoon, the itching and hair fall definitely increased. Mold is a silent troublemaker. It's better to invest in wall waterproofing than expensive hair transplant treatments later!
