Can mineral water cause kidney stones?

My husband recently had kidney stones, and the doctor asked him about his water intake. We mostly drink filtered tap water, but sometimes mineral water. We are now very careful about everything we consume. Can drinking mineral water cause kidney stones?

I recently recovered from a painful kidney stone and asked my urologist this exact question because I drink bottled mineral water at work. He laughed and said no, drinking water—even mineral water—actually prevents stones. It is the lack of water that causes them, so keep drinking!

Haha, if mineral water caused kidney stones, I would have had a hundred by now with all the spicy street food and cold drinks I consume! Don't worry about the minerals in your water, just make sure you're drinking enough of it to wash down those heavy meals.

As someone managing high blood pressure, I keep a close eye on my salt intake and kidney health. Mineral water is perfectly safe and won't cause stones. Just focus on keeping your salt low and getting your routine kidney function tests done during your yearly checkups.

Do not let these small worries disturb your peace of mind, beta. Water is life and it cleanses our body from within. Trust in nature, drink your water mindfully, and stay happy and healthy.

Man, I am too tired to even think about minerals in water, I barely manage to drink two glasses a day between my night shifts. Honestly, don't overcomplicate it. Just drink whatever clean water you can get your hands on, your body needs the hydration.

In my experience, keeping the body naturally hydrated through copper-pot water and regular yoga helps maintain perfect kidney health. Mineral water from outside is safe, but try drinking warm water throughout the day to flush out any small toxins easily.

I have to be very careful with everything I consume because of my PCOS, so I understand your caution. From what my doctor told me, mineral water is fine, but if you have a family history of kidney issues, it is always best to discuss your daily fluid intake with a health expert.

I tried all kinds of home remedies like barley water and lemon juice when my brother had stones. Mineral water is not the culprit here, but if you want to be safe, drinking fresh coconut water and home-boiled water is always a great, natural option.

Bro, relax. I've been drinking packaged mineral water for years during college and gym, and my kidneys are perfectly fine. Just don't let yourself get dehydrated, that is what actually forms stones.

Having diabetes means I must protect my kidneys at all costs. I drink regular mineral water daily and my doctor says it's perfectly fine. Just avoid any sweet flavored waters or sodas, as those can definitely strain your kidneys.
