Can meloxicam cause liver damage?

Occasionally taking Meloxicam for my back pain, I recently heard from my sister-in-law about how common medications can sometimes affect the liver. I wanted to know if Meloxicam is known to cause liver damage.

I totally get it, reading those long side-effect leaflets can make anyone super anxious. Yes, there is a small chance of liver strain with long-term NSAID use, but it is rare if you are taking the correct prescribed dose.

I completely understand your worry, I used to lose sleep googling every single medication side effect. While liver damage is technically possible, it is quite uncommon. Getting a simple LFT done can give you some peace of mind.

Look, if you are only taking it for 5 to 7 days, there is nothing to worry about. But if you have to take it for months, just ask your doctor to prescribe a mild liver tonic and do regular blood tests to be safe.

Bhai, tez dawaiyan thoda asar toh dalti hain liver par. Aap khane mein parhez rakho, halka khana khao aur bina doctor ke puche dawa mat badhao. Sab theek rahega.

When I was taking meloxicam for my back pain, my orthopedist specifically told me to completely avoid alcohol to prevent putting extra load on my liver. I followed that strictly and didn't face any issues.

Please be very careful with this. I ignored minor abdominal discomfort while taking strong pain killers and ended up with elevated liver enzymes that took months to normalize. If you feel nauseous or notice dark urine, see your doctor immediately.

My system is already sensitive because of my thyroid medication, so my doctor always monitors my liver enzymes whenever I am on other strong pills. Keep a regular checkup schedule to catch any issues early.
