Can low folate cause hair loss?

I'm experiencing a lot of hair shedding lately, and I'm trying to pinpoint the cause. I've heard that certain vitamin deficiencies can lead to it. Can low folate levels be a reason for hair loss?

Managing my high BP has taught me that general body health and hair are closely tied to nutrition. Low folate means your cells aren't dividing properly, which definitely impacts hair growth. Keep an eye on your overall health parameters with regular doctor checkups.

Haan na, folate matlab Vitamin B9 thoda kam hone se baal bohot jhadte hain. Mera bhi same haal tha kuch mahine pehle. Ek baar simple blood test karwa lo doctor se bol ke, ho na?

Yes, folate is essential for healthy cell growth, including your hair follicles. For vegetarians, eating plenty of spinach, lentils, and citrus fruits can help, but if your levels are very low, you should consult your doctor for a proper supplement recommendation.

I literally just recovered from this issue! My hair was shedding terribly, and my blood report showed a severe folate deficiency. My doctor put me on a daily supplement and my hair loss completely stopped in a couple of months. Get tested soon, it's very easy to fix.

Well, your hair follicles need folate to keep doing their job, otherwise they just go on strike! Don't worry, you aren't going bald forever. Just get a quick checkup and start eating your greens like a good kid.

I absolutely panicked when my hair started falling out and I read about folate deficiencies online. I thought it was some major illness! But my doctor reassured me it's extremely common and easily fixed with a basic supplement. Try not to stress too much!

I completely understand the emotional pain of seeing your hair thin out daily, it really hurts your confidence. Please don't lose heart. Folate deficiency is very common and completely treatable once your doctor confirms it through a simple test.
