Can liver spots be cancerous?

I have a few dark spots on my hands and face that look like 'liver spots'. My neighbor got me worried by saying some skin spots can be serious. Can these types of liver spots actually turn out to be cancerous?

Usually liver spots are just because of sun heat and aging, we use aloe vera gel to soothe them. But if they are changing color quickly or bleeding, don't wait at home, show a doctor immediately.

Dekho, 99% of the time they are just normal age spots, nothing to do with cancer. But don't become your own doctor on the internet. Just go to a clinic and let a dermatologist verify it once.

I went crazy searching online when I got these spots on my arms last year, thinking the worst. My dermatologist laughed and told me they are just harmless sun spots. Don't worry, but get them checked once so you can sleep peacefully.

Most liver spots are completely harmless and happen due to sun exposure as we age. Just start wearing a decent sunscreen daily whenever you go out, and get a dermatologist to take a quick look to be safe.

I was reading about this yesterday and learned that real liver spots are totally benign. They are just pigment clumps. But if they have uneven borders or grow fast, that's when you should check with a specialist.
