Can lack of vitamin b12 cause hair loss?

A lot of hair fall recently, more than usual, has been quite concerning. My doctor mentioned that sometimes a lack of Vitamin B12 can be a reason. Is it true that low B12 levels can directly lead to hair loss?

I kept buying expensive anti-hairfall shampoos for months thinking it was just pollution, but my hair kept thinning rapidly. When I finally got a blood test done, my B12 was dangerously low. Please get your vitamin levels checked before wasting money on hair products.

Yeah bro, it definitely does. Being a pure veg guy, my B12 levels dropped super low and my hair started falling out in clumps in the shower. Once my doctor started me on B12 supplements, the hair fall stopped within a couple of months.

Haan bilkul, B12 ki kami se hair fall toh hota hi hai na. Hamare baalo ko nutrition nahi mil pata thik se. Aap ek baar doctor ko dikha lo aur normal B12 tablets shuru kar do, sab thik ho jayega chinta mat karo.

I completely understand how terrifying it is to see so much hair on your brush every single day, it literally used to give me panic attacks. But trust me, B12 deficiency is very common and completely treatable. Once you fix the levels, your hair will grow back, so please don't stress.

Beta, in our days we ate fresh curd and fermented rice, which kept our gut healthy and B12 levels high. Along with whatever modern tablets the doctor gives you, try incorporating traditional buttermilk and a healthy diet to nourish your scalp from within.

Don't start taking random heavy doses of vitamins just because someone on the internet recommended it. Too much B12 or other vitamins can also cause issues. Go to a diagnostic lab, get a proper CBC and B12 test, and let a qualified doctor prescribe the right dosage.

At this point, I think even a cold breeze causes my hair to fall! But jokes apart, my doctor told me that B12 deficiency is a major culprit for us vegetarians. I started taking the supplements he gave, and at least my pillow doesn't look like a hairy rug anymore.

Bro, my hair was leaving my head faster than relatives leave after eating wedding food! Turned out my B12 was practically zero. Took the pills my doc prescribed, and now my hair has finally decided to stay back and support me.

I had severe hair thinning last winter and a blood test showed my B12 was super low. Apart from the supplements my doc gave, I started eating more paneer and dairy products, and it really helped. Just hang in there, your hair will recover!

I totally get it, losing hair can really damage your self-confidence and make you feel so insecure. It is a very stressful experience to go through. Just know that this is usually temporary and reversible once your body gets the right nutrients back.
