Can lack of iron cause hair loss?

I've been experiencing significant hair loss for the past few months, and I also feel quite tired and weak sometimes. My friend suggested I check my iron levels. Can a lack of iron in the body really be a reason for hair loss?

Yes, low iron and ferritin levels are very common reasons for hair fall. Getting a serum ferritin test done helps to know the exact status.

Yes, absolutely! Iron helps carry oxygen to your hair roots, so low iron means unhappy hair. 🙈 Try adding some spinach, beetroot, and pomegranate to your meals, it really helps!

Honestly, don't stress too much about it! Iron deficiency is super common and completely fixable. Just focus on eating well, maybe talk to a doc about an iron supplement, and your hair will bounce back in no time.

Our bodies reflect our inner balance and nourishment. Lack of iron can indeed cause hair fall as the body directs energy elsewhere. Stay positive, eat wholesome home-cooked meals with gratitude, and take gentle care of your health.

Yes, low hemoglobin and iron cause hair fall. Instead of buying expensive hair oils and shampoos, get a basic blood test. Cook your green veggies in an iron kadhai (wok) and eat soaked raisins daily, it is cheap and very effective.
