Can lack of folic acid cause hair loss?

My hair is thinning, and I'm trying to understand the possible causes behind it. I know folic acid is important for overall health, so I wondered if there was a link. Can not having enough folic acid in my diet contribute to hair loss?

Yes, nutritional deficiencies can definitely lead to hair thinning. Please don't worry too much, as it is usually reversible. Try eating more green leafy vegetables and maybe get a quick blood test done.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai. Folic acid humare cell growth ke liye bohot zaroori hota hai, aur hair roots ko nutrition chahiye hota hai na. Mere cousin ko bhi yahi problem thi, thoda diet change kiya toh theek ho gaya.

I panicked like crazy when my hair started thinning last year, thinking I was going bald permanently. Honestly, it was just a minor deficiency of folic acid and B12. Once the doctor gave me a supplement, the shedding stopped and everything went back to normal.

My dermatologist actually explained this to me last year. Folic acid helps in producing red blood cells, which carry oxygen to your hair follicles. If those levels drop, hair growth slows down and shedding increases. He suggested a basic multivitamin after my reports came.

Deficiencies can disrupt the body's natural balance and lead to hair fall. Along with addressing your nutritional needs, try practicing Kapalbhati and Balayam daily. These yoga practices improve blood circulation to the scalp naturally and support hair health.

Yes, low folic acid can cause hair fall, but don't just start random pills. Since I have to monitor everything I eat for my diabetes, I look for natural diabetic-friendly sources like spinach and broccoli. Always consult your doctor before starting any supplements.

Bro, my hair was falling out like crazy a few months back. I got a blood test done and my folate levels were super low. Started eating more dal and green veggies, and the doctor prescribed some tablets. It actually worked, so get tested first.

I literally just recovered from this issue. My hair fall was out of control, and my blood reports showed a folate deficiency. It has been two months since I started the supplements and my diet plan, and the hair fall has almost completely stopped now.

I completely understand how heartbreaking it is to see chunks of hair in the shower every single day. I went through the exact same phase of panic and crying. Once I found out it was just a vitamin deficiency, fixing my diet helped so much. Hang in there, it gets better.

It actually can cause hair fall, yaar. I was facing severe hair thinning and was so stressed out. Turns out my diet was completely messed up because of office shifts. A simple blood test and some basic supplements sorted it out.
