Can l theanine cause weight gain?

I take L-theanine occasionally for relaxation and focus, especially when working late. Lately, I've been feeling a bit bloated and the scale is up. Could L-theanine somehow contribute to weight gain, or is it unrelated to supplements?

L-Theanine is just an amino acid found in green tea that helps with focus and relaxation. It doesn't contain calories, so it won't directly cause weight gain. In fact, by lowering stress, it might actually help control emotional eating.

I've been taking L-Theanine before exams to stay calm and haven't noticed any weight gain at all. Honestly, it just makes me feel relaxed without the coffee jitters. Don't worry about gaining weight from it.

I use L-Theanine to manage my stress levels, which helps keep my blood pressure stable. It does not cause weight gain. However, always ensure you consult your physician before adding any new supplement to your daily routine.

I panicked when I felt slightly bloated after starting my supplements and thought it was weight gain! But it was just temporary water retention because I wasn't drinking enough water. My weight went back to normal in a couple of days.

At my age, I have used green tea extracts and L-Theanine for relaxation and mental peace. In my experience, it has never affected my weight in any negative way. It is a very gentle natural compound.
