Can keratin cause hair loss?

Recently, I got a keratin treatment done for my hair to make it smoother and more manageable. But in the last few weeks, I've noticed a lot more hair falling out than usual. Could the keratin treatment itself be causing this hair loss?

Chemical keratin treatments can definitely cause hair fall because of the high heat and strong chemicals involved. Personally, I prefer using simple homemade curd and honey masks for shine. If your hair fall is very severe, please see a dermatologist instead of trying more parlor treatments.

Oh yes! Heavy chemical treatments can totally damage your roots and cause scary hair fall. 🙈 Try to focus on eating a protein-rich diet and keeping your scalp clean instead of going for harsh chemicals. Your natural hair is already beautiful!

I think feeding your hair from the inside is much better than coating it with chemical keratin. Give me a bowl of high-protein paneer or eggs any day over those expensive parlor sessions! When your nutrition is solid, your hair naturally stays strong.

I got a keratin treatment done last year and honestly, my hair started falling out in clumps after two months. The chemicals and intense flat ironing totally fried my roots. I had to completely stop all treatments and use gentle baby shampoo to recover my hair strength.

Before you spend 5000 rupees on a keratin treatment that might ruin your hair, spend 1000 rupees on a basic blood test for Iron, Vitamin D, and Thyroid. Most hair loss is actually caused by internal deficiencies rather than external products.
