Can iodine deficiency cause hair loss?

My hair has been falling out quite a lot lately, and I'm really worried. I read somewhere online that iodine deficiency can be a reason for hair loss. Is this true, can a lack of iodine really affect my hair like this?

Yes, it can, because iodine is crucial for your thyroid gland, which controls hair follicle health. Don't waste money on expensive shampoos without knowing the cause. Just get a quick thyroid blood test done this weekend to check your levels.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai, kyunki iodine ki kami se thyroid levels upar neeche ho jaate hain. Aur thyroid problem matlab hair fall hona hi hai, na? Normal iodized salt khaya karo ghar pe aur ek baar blood test karwa lo.

It definitely does. Iodine deficiency directly messes up your metabolism and thyroid function, which triggers massive hair shedding. Stop guessing and get a thyroid panel done at a good lab. It is a very easy issue to fix once diagnosed.

At this point, even looking at the comb makes my hair fall out! But jokes apart, low iodine affects your thyroid, which is a major culprit behind thinning hair. Just make sure you are using iodized salt in your cooking instead of fancy gourmet non-iodized salts.

I panicked like crazy when clumps of my hair started falling out, thinking I was going bald permanently. It turned out to be a simple thyroid imbalance caused by dietary deficiency. Once the doctor corrected it, my hair fall stopped, so please don't stress, it's very treatable.

I'm literally counting the strands left on my head at 2 AM instead of sleeping. Yes, low iodine ruins your thyroid, which basically kills your hair growth cycle. Go get your blood tested before you end up buying wigs like me.

My daughter had severe hair thinning last year, and we realized she had minor thyroid issues due to poor diet. We started being careful about nutrition and using proper iodized salt. Please consult a pediatrician or doctor to check their nutrient levels first.
