Can increased estrogen cause weight gain?

I've been told my estrogen levels are a bit high, and I've also noticed some unexplained weight gain recently. I'm wondering if there's a connection. Can increased estrogen in the body actually lead to weight gain?

My sister was facing this exact issue where she gained weight out of nowhere. Turned out her estrogen was quite high. Once she got on the right meds and started walking, her weight came back to normal.

Yes, high estrogen can lead to water retention and fat storage, especially around the hips. Focus on strength training and eating clean, fiber-rich foods to help your body process hormones better, but do consult a doctor too.

Honestly, between my terrible sleep cycle and hormonal imbalances, I am gaining weight just looking at water. Yes, high estrogen definitely causes bloating and weight gain, it's exhausting.

Yes, estrogen dominance can cause your body to hold onto fat and fluid. I'd suggest getting a complete hormone panel done. Don't jump into random diets, let a professional guide you.

My mother always says to drink warm water with cumin for bloating, but for estrogen issues, you really need a proper doctor's advice. Weight gain due to hormones is real, so please consult a gynecologist.

Ah, the joys of aging and hormonal swings! My wife has been struggling with this, and we joke that even air has calories now. It's very common, but getting a proper blood test helps find a solution.
