Can i take zicam during pregnancy?

I feel a cold coming on and usually use Zicam to shorten the duration. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm unsure if it's safe for me to use this product. Can I take Zicam during my pregnancy?

During pregnancy, we must be very careful with any English medicines. It is always better to avoid these strong nasal sprays or tablets without asking your main doctor. Try drinking warm water with a little ginger and honey, it will give your throat great relief naturally.

My sister was asking her doc about cold meds last month during her pregnancy, and they basically told her to avoid over-the-counter stuff like Zicam unless it's specifically cleared. Apparently some of these zinc nasal things can be too harsh. Better to just check with your doctor before using it.

When I was pregnant, the doctors at Apollo hospital gave me a strict list of safe medicines and told me never to take any random OTC products like Zicam. Many zinc supplements or homeopathic-marketed cold remedies aren't fully tested for pregnant women. Please consult your OB-GYN before taking anything.

I had a massive cold during my pregnancy and wanted to take Zicam, but my doctor advised against it because high levels of zinc nasal sprays can cause issues. Instead, do steam inhalation twice a day and use simple saline nasal drops. It works wonders for congestion and is 100% safe.

I totally panicked when I caught a bad cold in my first trimester and almost took a bunch of OTC cold remedies. But my doctor reassured me that mild colds are very normal as immunity drops. She told me to avoid Zicam and instead prescribed a simple, safe antihistamine that was totally fine for the baby.

I get so scared even thinking about catching a cold right now because of all the medicine restrictions. Has anyone else's doctor actually allowed Zicam, or do they all say no? I am currently just sticking to warm steam because I am too afraid to touch any cold pills.
