Can i take tamiflu during pregnancy?

I've been feeling quite unwell with flu-like symptoms, and I'm also pregnant. My doctor mentioned Tamiflu as an option. Is it safe for me to take Tamiflu during pregnancy if needed?

Hey, I totally understand your worry about catching the flu right now. When I was pregnant last year, my doctor actually prescribed it because getting really sick with flu is riskier for the baby. But please don't take it on your own, just call your gynaecologist first and check.

Haan, doctors do prescribe Tamiflu sometimes during pregnancy if the flu is severe, na. Actually, leaving high fever untreated is more dangerous for the baby. But self-medicate bilkul mat karna, doctor se consult karke hi dosage decide karo.

Beta, in these times you must be very careful with modern medicines. If you have a mild cold, some warm water with ginger and tulsi can help ease the throat. But if you actually have a proper flu, please don't self-medicate and ask your doctor if Tamiflu is safe for you.

Oh god, being sick during pregnancy is so stressful, I would be panic searching everything too! Honestly, please don't take any risk with over-the-counter meds right now. Just text your doc immediately so they can guide you safely, it will save you so much worry!

I agree with others here. My wife was also prescribed this by her doctor during her second trimester, but only after a proper checkup.

I am also in my first trimester and really scared of getting sick. Is Tamiflu completely safe throughout all nine months, or does it depend on which week you are in? I hope you feel better soon.
