Can i take pregnancy test week before my period?

We've been trying for a baby, and my period is still a week away. I'm feeling a little different and hoping it's a good sign. Can I take a pregnancy test a week before my period is due, or is it too early for a reliable result?

I literally did this last month because I was so impatient! The test was totally negative, but a week later I missed my period and it was a clear positive. Save your money and mental peace, wait for a few more days.

See, testing a whole week early is useless because the pregnancy hormone hCG is barely present in the body. You will just get a false negative and stress yourself out. Wait for your missed period date, then test.

Aiya, waiting is the hardest part, but testing a week early is just wasting a good test kit. The body doesn't work on high-speed internet speed! Give it some time and test when your period is actually due.

No chance. Implantation usually happens 6 to 12 days after ovulation, so testing a week early is biologically pointless. Just wait till your period is missed if you want a real answer.
