Can i take a hot bath during pregnancy?

I'm currently pregnant and have been feeling quite stressed and achy lately. A hot bath usually helps me relax a lot. Is it safe to take a hot bath during pregnancy, or are there any precautions I should know about?

Please be very careful. I ignored my doctor's advice about overheating and took very hot baths, which caused some complications later. Always keep the water lukewarm and check with your doctor first.

No, extremely hot baths are a big no during pregnancy because raising your core body temperature above 101°F is risky for the baby. Stick to warm or lukewarm water instead.

Hey! Warm baths are actually super relaxing for the lower back pain, but just make sure the water isn't steaming hot. If your skin starts turning red, it is too hot. Keep it comfortable!

I am so tired my back is killing me, and a hot bath sounds like heaven, but sadly we have to skip it. Just use a warm compress or lukewarm water, otherwise your body temperature will shoot up.

My wife's gynae told her to avoid hot baths completely because it can cause dizziness. Lukewarm water is the way to go. Better to play it safe during these months.

I just delivered my baby last month and my doctor strictly told me to avoid hot tubs or very hot water baths. Lukewarm water is perfectly fine and safe, just don't stay in too long.

Arey, skip the piping hot water, we don't want to boil the baby! Use normal lukewarm water. It does the job of relaxing your muscles without any of the risks.

To soothe sore muscles during pregnancy, gentle stretching and a lukewarm shower are much safer than soaking in hot water. Overheating can affect your blood circulation, so keep it moderate.
