Can i squat during pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester and used to do squats regularly as part of my fitness routine. My doctor said light exercise is good for me, but I'm a bit unsure about continuing squats. Is it safe to do them now, or should I avoid them completely?

Honestly, pregnancy changes so many things in the body, just like my thyroid issues did. You should definitely check with your gynecologist first before doing squats. Get your regular scans and blood tests done on time to make sure everything is completely normal before putting pressure on your body.

I am also wondering about this since I just found out I am expecting. Is it safe to do normal squats, or do we need some special support? If anyone has tried this during their first trimester, please let me know, I am a bit scared to try.

Squatting is actually great for pelvic strength, but form is everything now. Don't lift heavy weights like before, just bodyweight or light dumbbells if your doc cleared you. Keep yourself hydrated, eat clean, and stop immediately if you feel even slightly off balance.

I totally understand why you are asking this, I used to get so anxious about every little movement during my pregnancy. It is very natural to feel scared of hurting the baby. Just take it slow, do only what feels safe, and talk to your doctor so you can have peace of mind.

Look, if your pregnancy has no complications, normal bodyweight squats are fine and actually help in labor. But don't try to be a gym hero now. Just do what comfortable, don't strain, and if the doctor said no, then strictly no.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! Many women squat till the very end and it actually helps. Just listen to your body and don't push yourself if you feel tired. Have some coconut water, sit comfortably, and take it one day at a time, dear.
