Can i sleep on my side after vitrectomy surgery?

I had vitrectomy surgery on my eye yesterday, and I'm trying to be very careful during recovery. I forgot to ask my doctor if sleeping on my side is allowed. Do I need to sleep strictly on my back, or can I sleep on my side after vitrectomy surgery?

Vitrectomy usually requires a very specific head position to keep the gas bubble in place, so side sleeping is usually a big no unless specifically told by your doctor. Focus on light walking inside the house once they clear you.

Bro, eye surgeries are super delicate. If they put a gas bubble in your eye, you cannot sleep on your side because the bubble might shift and cause damage. Stick to what the doctor said.

When my father had his vitrectomy, he was strictly asked to maintain a face-down position for the first week. Side sleeping was only allowed after the doctor checked the bubble at his follow-up.

Haan na, eye surgery ke baad bahut dhyan rakhna padta hai. Side par sone se pressure badh sakta hai eye mein, toh doc se poocha bina mat soiye side par.

Arey nahi, bilkul jaldi mat karna karwat lene mein. Vitrectomy mein toh head posture sabse important hota hai na, toh jaise doctor ne bataya hai waise hi letna.

Please be very careful with your sleeping position after eye surgery. It is best to avoid sleeping on your side until your eye specialist says it is safe.

My doctor explained that if a gas or oil bubble is used during vitrectomy, you must maintain a face-down (prone) position. Sleeping on your back or side can cause the bubble to rub against the lens, leading to complications like cataracts.

Aankh ka mamla bahut nazuk hota hai. Pranayama aur shanti se baithkar dhyan lagane se mann shant rahega, par letne ka tarika wahi rakhein jo aapke chikitsak ne bataya hai.
