Can i sleep on my side after colon surgery?

I recently underwent colon surgery, and lying flat on my back is causing me a lot of discomfort and difficulty sleeping. I'm wondering if it's okay for me to sleep on my side now, or should I continue to sleep on my back for a longer recovery period?

I completely understand the anxiety around this, because colon surgery is major and you don't want to mess up anything. Usually, side sleeping is okay once you are home, but please check with your surgeon first.

I had colon surgery last year. You can sleep on your side, but sleep on the opposite side of your incision or stoma if you have one, and use a body pillow to keep you from rolling onto your stomach.

I had a laparoscopic abdominal procedure recently and had to be very careful. I only slept on my side after the pain at the port sites subsided, and I used a soft pillow to support my abdomen.

Mera beta bhi is surgery se guzra hai. Pehle kuch din peeth ke bal sona hi theek rehta hai. Jab thoda aaram mile tabhi dheere se karwat lein aur naram gaddi ka sahara zaroor rakhein.

Maine bhi yeh surgery karwayi hai aur thik hone mein thoda waqt lagta hai. Shuruat mein peeth ke bal letna sabse surakshit hai, par ek-do hafte baad jab takat aa jaye toh aap dheere se karwat le sakte hain.
