Can i have mayonnaise during pregnancy?

I just made a delicious sandwich for lunch, and I was about to add some mayonnaise. But then I remembered I'm pregnant, and now I'm worried. Can I safely have mayonnaise during pregnancy, or should I skip it?

Yes, you can have mayonnaise, but make sure it is commercial eggless mayonnaise or made with pasteurized eggs. Fresh, homemade mayonnaise often uses raw eggs, which can contain harmful bacteria. It is always better to eat simple, freshly cooked home meals for the health of both mother and child.

Honestly, pregnancy cravings will make you want to put mayonnaise on literally everything. Just buy a standard eggless bottle from the supermarket and eat it in peace. Just avoid those fancy fancy cafes that make their own mayo from scratch.

Yes, packaged mayonnaise is safe because it is pasteurized. Just avoid homemade ones at local cafes as they might use raw eggs.

Actually, yaar, commercial mayonnaise like FunFoods is perfectly safe because it is eggless. Just don't go to random street food stalls where they keep the mayo bottles out in the heat all day, as that can easily cause food poisoning.

If you are eating out at a cafe, it is safer to skip the mayonnaise in your sandwich because you don't know if they use raw eggs or keep it refrigerated properly. But the packaged mayonnaise you buy from supermarkets is pasteurized and completely safe to eat at home.

Yes you can! Just make sure it is the store-bought pasteurized version and you are good to go. Enjoy your sandwiches and burgers without any worry!

According to most diet trackers, commercial mayonnaise in India is almost always eggless or made with pasteurized eggs, so it is safe from salmonella risk. Just keep an eye on the high calorie and fat content, as overeating processed spreads isn't great for healthy pregnancy weight gain.

If you have a craving, a little packaged eggless mayonnaise is fine. But try to stick to homemade green chutney or curd spreads as they are much better for digestion. If you face any stomach infection or vomiting after eating outside food, please consult your doctor immediately.
