Can i have halls during pregnancy?

I've developed a bit of a sore throat recently, and I usually find Halls cough drops very soothing. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm unsure about taking any medication. Is it safe for me to have Halls cough drops while pregnant?

When you're pregnant and coughing keeps you awake all night, you just want anything to stop it. Halls is usually fine for a quick fix, but that strong menthol can be a bit much. Honestly, a warm cup of milk with turmeric is safer and might actually help you sleep.

Yes, you can have a Halls occasionally for a throat tickle, but don't eat them continuously like candy. The menthol inside is fine in small amounts, but for ongoing coughs, it's always better to get a safe prescription from your gynecologist.

Having a Halls occasionally is fine, but keep in mind they contain a lot of sugar, which isn't great if you are monitoring your diet or blood pressure. Make sure you are keeping up with your regular doctor visits and tracking your health parameters.

Beta, please don't worry, a simple sore throat will pass soon. You can have a Halls to feel comfortable, but try to rely more on warm honey water or tulsi leaves. Stay positive and take care of your health.

Yes, Halls is fine occasionally. Just try warm salt water gargles too, they really help soothe the throat naturally.

I was actually reading about this because my cousin had a bad cold during her pregnancy. Most doctors say occasional menthol drops like Halls are safe, but it's best to avoid the heavily medicated ones. Simple ginger lozenges are also a great option!

At this point, even breathing feels like it needs doctor's permission! Halls is generally safe for a scratchy throat, but don't eat them by the dozen. If the throat pain persists, just get a proper checkup done to be safe.

When I had a bad sore throat during my pregnancy, my doctor said taking one or two Halls is completely fine to soothe the throat. Just don't overdo it, and try drinking warm water throughout the day to stay hydrated.
