Can i give my baby tylenol without fever?

My baby is a bit fussy and seems uncomfortable, but she doesn't have a fever right now. My mother-in-law suggested giving her a little Tylenol to help her sleep. Is it okay to give my baby Tylenol even if she doesn't have a fever?

You can use it for pain relief like teething, but please don't use it just to make them sleep. It is best to consult your doctor before giving any medicine.

Yes, you can give it if they are in pain, like from teething or immunization soreness, but be very careful with the dosage. It should always be based on your baby's weight, not age. Check with your pediatrician first to get the correct ML dosage.

I panicked so much when my baby was crying inconsolably without a fever and I gave him paracetamol. The doctor later told me it's perfectly fine for teething pain, so don't worry. Just stick to the recommended dose and they will calm down soon.

In our time, we avoided giving English medicines unless absolutely necessary. If the baby is crying due to teething, try rubbing a clean cold cloth on their gums or giving them a cold carrot to chew. Don't give syrups without asking your doctor.

I used to give it to my daughter when she was teething and couldn't sleep from the pain, even without a fever. Just make sure you are not giving it too frequently. Always write down the time of the last dose so you don't accidentally double-dose.
