Can i get hepatitis b vaccine during pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester now, and my gynecologist suggested I get the Hepatitis B vaccine. My friend told me it's not safe during pregnancy, so I'm a bit confused. Can I really take this jab or should I wait?

Please don't worry too much. Yes, some vaccines are absolutely safe and even recommended during pregnancy to protect both you and the baby, but you must let your doctor decide the timing. Just drop a quick text to your doc to be 100% sure before booking any slot.

My wife got so many injections during her pregnancy I lost count. Honestly, just ask your gynaecologist about this one. Between the backaches and sleepless nights, don't take extra stress without consulting the doc first.

My sister was in the same situation last year and her doctor actually recommended the Hep B shot because of her work. Just ask your doc, they will tell you if you need it or not. Simple as that.

Check if your hospital or local government clinic offers it for free or at a subsidized rate as part of the maternal care package. But first get the green light from your doc so you don't waste money on unnecessary shots.

Pregnancy is such a delicate time, ghar pe we try to avoid extra medicines, but vaccines are different. Don't rely on random advice or home remedies for these things. Talk to your doctor clearly and follow whatever schedule they give you.

According to the pregnancy tracker apps I follow with my wife, non-live vaccines like Hep B are usually fine during pregnancy. Still, it's best to log your symptoms and discuss the vaccine schedule directly with your doctor to stay safe.

Agreed with the others, it is generally considered safe if you are at high risk. Definitely verify this with your gynaecologist during your next routine checkup.
