Can i eat steak during pregnancy?

We're going out for dinner tonight, and I was thinking of ordering a steak. But I've heard mixed things about eating meat, especially if it's not well done, during pregnancy. Can I safely eat steak while pregnant, and how should it be cooked?

Steak is a great source of iron and protein, which is very helpful during pregnancy. Just ensure it is ordered well-done with zero pink inside to avoid any bacterial infection. Try to pair it with roasted veggies and a light walk afterward.

You can eat steak, but it has to be cooked until it's basically leather. No medium-rare or pink in the middle right now, unfortunately. I had to cook my wife's steaks to absolute death last year, but hey, safety first!

If you eat heavy meat like steak, please make sure it is fully cooked and soft, otherwise it becomes very hard to digest. You can drink a little warm water with ginger or fennel after your meal to help your stomach digest it easily.

The main risk with steak is toxoplasmosis from undercooked meat. So, eating steak is absolutely fine as long as the internal temperature reaches at least 71°C (well-done). Avoid eating it from places where you doubt their hygiene standards.

Please be very careful with undercooked meat. I had a severe food-related infection during my pregnancy that caused serious complications, so I urge you to only eat steak if it is cooked completely dry and well-done. Always consult your doctor if you feel any stomach cramping or fever.

Yes, you can! Just make sure to tell the restaurant to cook it 'well-done' with no pink parts left at all. Safe, juicy, and packed with iron for you and the baby! Enjoy your dinner date! 🥩✨

It is completely normal to feel scared about what to eat during this time. I also double-checked every food on Google! Just order your steak well-done and from a clean, high-end place so you can eat it without any anxiety.
