Can i eat salad during pregnancy?

My mother-in-law warned me about eating raw vegetables and salads when pregnant. I'm trying to eat healthy. Can I eat salad during pregnancy if it's prepared properly?

Yes, but you have to be extremely careful with raw salads outside. Only eat salads made at home, and wash every leaf in running water and vinegar to prevent Listeria or Toxoplasma infections.

Salads are excellent for getting your daily fiber and vitamins. Pair your healthy meals with some light morning walks if your doctor permits. Just avoid heavy, fatty salad dressings which add useless calories.

Salads are great for maintaining healthy blood pressure as they are rich in potassium. Just avoid adding extra salt or processed salad dressings. Make sure to keep monitoring your BP and getting regular checkups.

You can definitely eat salads, but please don't eat them from restaurants or buffet counters. Raw veggies can carry harmful bacteria if not washed properly. Make it at home and ensure it is fully clean.

Fresh cucumber and tomato salad is very good to keep the body cool. Just wash them with warm water and a little salt before cutting. In our days, we always peeled the skin completely for safety.
