Can i eat pork during pregnancy?

My family loves pork dishes, and we often have it for dinner. I am now pregnant and trying to be very careful with my food choices. Can I eat pork during pregnancy, or should I stop for now?

In our family, we avoid heavy meats during pregnancy as they can be hard to digest. However, if you really want to have pork, make sure it is cooked exceptionally well to avoid any food poisoning. Please consult your doctor once about your diet.

Yes, you can eat pork, but only if it's thoroughly cooked to an internal temperature that kills all bacteria. Never eat undercooked, raw, or street-side pork when you are pregnant. Stick to reputed restaurants or cook it yourself at home.

I would suggest avoiding pork cold cuts or ham right now because of the risk of listeria. If you are craving fresh pork curry, just make sure it is cooked super well at home till the meat is completely soft.

It is generally safer to eat light meats like chicken or fish during these times, as pork can sometimes carry heavy parasites if not cleaned properly. If you do eat it, make sure it is cooked with turmeric and ginger for safety.

You can eat pork during pregnancy, but it must be completely and thoroughly cooked. Avoid any processed or undercooked forms to prevent infections.
