Can i eat over easy eggs during pregnancy?

I love my eggs sunny-side up or over easy, with a runny yolk. My sister told me I shouldn't have them like that when pregnant. Is it really unsafe to eat over easy eggs during pregnancy?

My mother always insisted on well-boiled eggs during pregnancy, and when I asked my doctor, she also strongly advised against runny or over easy eggs. The yolk needs to be completely firm to avoid any infections. Better to cook it fully.

At my age, my stomach protests even normal spicy food, but for pregnancy, doctors are very strict about runny eggs. Skip the over easy ones for a few months and stick to boring, fully cooked omelets. It's much safer!

No, raw or undercooked egg yolk carries a salmonella risk. You should definitely avoid over easy eggs right now. Just eat hard-boiled eggs or well-done scrambled eggs until delivery.

I accidentally ate a slightly runny egg yolk last week and I've been so anxious since then. Has anyone else done this and been completely fine? I'll definitely stick to fully hard-boiled eggs now.

Runny yolks aren't safe during pregnancy due to bacteria risk. If you are short on time in the morning, hard-boiling a batch of eggs during the weekend is the easiest and safest solution. Quick and zero risk.

Please don't take risks with raw or half-cooked eggs. I once got severe food poisoning from a half-boiled egg and it was terrible to handle. If you eat undercooked food and feel even slightly sick, please see a doctor immediately.

Hey sweetie, don't stress too much if you really want eggs, just fry them on both sides until the yellow part is totally solid! It takes just a minute more and you get to enjoy your breakfast safely.
