Can i eat mayonnaise in pregnancy?

I love adding mayonnaise to my sandwiches and salads. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm checking everything. Can I eat mayonnaise in pregnancy without any risk?

Be very careful about where you eat mayo. I once ignored a mild stomach ache after eating a sandwich with local mayonnaise, and it turned into severe food poisoning. Please check with your doctor if you feel any discomfort.

You can eat pasteurized commercial mayo, but remember it's very calorie-dense. Balance it out with light physical activity like a 20-minute daily walk if your doctor has cleared you for light exercise.

I used to overthink every single ingredient on the bottle of mayo during my first trimester, worrying about raw eggs. Honestly, buying a trusted eggless brand solved all my anxiety. Try that for peace of mind!

Branded mayonnaise from the supermarket is generally safe during pregnancy. Take care and enjoy your meals calmly.

I was researching this for my cousin who is pregnant. Apparently, almost all branded mayonnaise sold in India is pasteurized, which makes it safe from salmonella. Still, checking the label is a good habit.
