Can i eat cheesecake in pregnancy?

I had a sudden craving for cheesecake today, and it looked absolutely delicious. I paused because I wasn't sure if it's safe for pregnant women. Can I eat cheesecake in pregnancy, or is there something to be careful about?

I have been craving blueberry cheesecake so badly but I am terrified of the raw egg or unpasteurised cheese risk! Did anyone else eat store-bought baked cheesecake during their pregnancy and feel completely fine? Please let me know.

Sweets like cheesecake can make your body feel heavy and sluggish, which isn't ideal during pregnancy. If you do indulge, try to have a very small piece of baked cheesecake made with pasteurised ingredients. Follow it with a light, mindful walk to help digestion.

Cheesecake is very expensive and often contains uncooked soft cheese which can be risky. If you want that creamy flavor, just make a simple sweet paneer kheer at home. It is safe, fresh, much cheaper, and satisfies the sweet tooth perfectly.

I had intense sweet cravings during pregnancy, but because of my thyroid fluctuations, my doctor told me to limit refined sugars like cheesecake. Keep track of your thyroid levels regularly and stick to small, occasional treats rather than daily desserts.

Baked cheesecakes are generally safe because the heat kills any bacteria, but cold-set cheesecakes can be risky if they use raw eggs or unpasteurised cream cheese. Check the ingredients on your food tracking app and always ensure the cheese is pasteurised.

Be careful with high-fat and high-sugar foods like cheesecake if you are managing high blood pressure during pregnancy. Keep a close eye on your weekly BP readings and save cheesecake as a rare treat. Stick to healthy fats like almonds instead.
