Can i eat bean sprouts during pregnancy?

I love adding bean sprouts to my salads, but my sister-in-law warned me about them during pregnancy. She said they might not be safe. Can I eat bean sprouts during pregnancy if they are properly cooked?

I was reading about this for a biology project, and apparently, raw sprouts can have some bad bacteria. Better to cook them fully or boil them instead of eating them raw. Just to be safe, u know?

If you are planning to eat raw sprouts, just pause! Raw ones can carry uninvited bacteria guests that you definitely don't want. Just fry them, boil them, steam them—basically, make sure they are super hot before you dig in.

We showed at a big hospital in Delhi, and the dietician there strictly told my wife to avoid raw bean sprouts completely due to risk of salmonella. They said if we really want to eat them, they must be boiled thoroughly first. Do ask your own doctor about this.

Dekho, simple baat hai. Raw sprouts bilkul mat khao pregnancy mein, infection ka bahut darr rehta hai. Khana hi hai toh acche se boil karke ya pakakar khao. Thoda dhyan rakhna padta hai is time pe.

Sprouts are very nutritious, but raw ones are risky for pregnant mothers. I always suggest my daughters to pressure cook the sprouts with a little turmeric and salt before consuming. This makes them perfectly safe and easy to digest.
