Can i bleach my hair during pregnancy?

I'm currently in my first trimester, and I really want to get my hair bleached and colored for an upcoming event. My friends are giving me mixed advice. Is it safe to bleach my hair during pregnancy, or should I avoid it completely?

Hey, don't stress too much! Technically, very little chemical actually gets absorbed through your scalp. But if you are worried, maybe wait till the second trimester or just go for highlights instead of full scalp bleach. Enjoy your pregnancy!

Pregnancy is such a beautiful, sacred journey. Just stay positive and keep your mind peaceful. If getting your hair done makes you feel happy and glowing, go for ammonia-free options that are gentler on your body.

True, it is generally considered safe but make sure the salon is very well-ventilated so you do not inhale any strong fumes.

I am also wondering about this since I just found out I am pregnant. Is organic or herbal hair color a safer option instead of regular bleach? If anyone knows, please guide.

Honestly, with my pregnancy brain and zero sleep, managing normal hair wash was a task, let alone bleaching. If you have the energy for a salon visit, go for it, just make sure they use mild products.

I had a very sensitive pregnancy due to my PCOS history, so I preferred to be extra cautious and avoided all bleach. Everyone's body reacts differently, so check with your doc first just to be safe.

Dekho, a few months of no hair color won't change anything. Why take any risk with strong chemicals now? Just wait till the baby is born, then do whatever styling you want.

Keeping your lifestyle clean and healthy during these months is what matters most. A bit of hair styling won't hurt, but just focus on clean eating and light walks to keep your energy levels up.

Even I wanted to get my hair colored but I am so scared of the chemicals affecting the baby. Did anyone else actually do it and everything was fine? Please tell, I am overthinking this so much.

My doctor at Manipal Hospital strictly told me to avoid harsh chemical treatments in the first trimester. It is always best to ask your gynaecologist clearly before booking any salon appointment.
