Can hypothyroidism cause weight gain?

My thyroid levels have been a bit off lately, and the doctor thinks it might be hypothyroidism. I'm already struggling with my weight. Could this be the reason why I'm finding it so difficult to shed those extra kilos?

Yes, it is very common. My sister faced this same issue and our elders suggested many home remedies, but honestly, only the proper thyroid medication prescribed by her doctor brought her weight back to normal. Please get your TSH levels tested first.

Dekho, hypothyroidism mein metabolism slow ho jata hai toh weight badhna bilkul normal baat hai. Isme rona-dhona choddo aur chupchaap doctor ke paas jao. Sahi dosage ki goli shuru karoge toh weight control mein aa jayega.

With a 9-to-6 job, managing thyroid weight gain is really hard because of the constant fatigue. The most practical thing is to take your thyroid medicine empty stomach first thing in the morning and get your blood checked every 3 months. No shortcuts work here.

Absolutely, a slow thyroid lowers your BMR, meaning you burn fewer calories even at rest. I track my active calories daily and noticed a major drop when my levels were off. I highly recommend syncing up with an endocrinologist to get your dosage adjusted.

Bro, I gained like 10 kgs out of nowhere before I found out my thyroid was messed up. Once I got on the right pill, things started sorting out slowly. Don't stress, just go get a simple blood test done.

Dealing with both PCOS and a slow thyroid has made weight management a real struggle for me. It is a slow process, so please be kind to your body. I suggest getting a proper hormone panel done to see what exactly is causing the issue.

Hypothyroidism slows down your metabolism, making it very easy to pile on weight. Eating a fiber-rich, clean vegetarian diet can support your gut, but it cannot replace thyroid hormone replacement. Definitely get medical advice to balance your levels.

Haan, bilkul badhta hai vajan! Meri mummy ko bhi thyroid hai aur unka weight kafi badh gaya tha. Par dawai lene se ab kafi control mein hai, na. Aap bhi der mat karo aur doctor se mil lo.

I tried drinking coriander seed water and avoiding gluten for months to stop the weight gain, but nothing actually worked until I started taking my prescribed thyroid pills. Home remedies are good for support, but please don't skip the medical treatment.

Unexplained weight gain can be linked to hypothyroidism, but it can also indicate other underlying issues. It is always safest to consult a qualified physician and get a complete thyroid profile done rather than assuming things.

Haan bhai, thyroid se vajan badhta hai. Ek simple solution batau toh subah uthke niyamit roop se thoda garm pani piyo, walk pe jao, aur doctor ki batayi dawai time par lo. Zyada kharch karne ki zaroorat nahi hai, bas routine theek rakho.
