Can high sugar levels cause hair loss?

Recently, I've been noticing a lot of hair fall, which is quite upsetting. Someone told me it could be related to my sugar levels, which have been a bit high lately. Is there any truth to this?

It can definitely happen, because high sugar affects your blood circulation which starves hair follicles. I face terrible hair fall due to my thyroid issues, and my doctor always says hormonal imbalances and high sugar are closely linked. Please get your HbA1c and thyroid tests done regularly and show a doc.

Bro, between my late night work shifts and bad sleep, my hair was already leaving me. Then my sugar spiked and the hair fall got even worse! Honestly, stress, bad sleep, and high sugar is a killer combo for your scalp. Control the sugar before we both need wigs.

Yes, it does. I noticed massive hair thinning when my diabetes was uncontrolled. Once I got my HbA1c down to 6.5 with proper diet and meds, my hair fall reduced significantly. Focus on a high-protein diet, cut down direct carbs, and keep your sugars stable.

Poor glycemic control can cause hormonal fluctuations and poor circulation, both of which lead to telogen effluvium or hair shedding. While biotin or oils might seem like easy fixes, managing your blood glucose is the root solution. It is best to consult your endocrinologist to get a proper clinical opinion.

Haan beta, jab shareer me sugar badhti hai toh baal jhadne lagte hain kyunki khoon ka bahaav thik nahi rehta. Aap bilkul chinta mat karo. Doctor babu ko dikhao, dawai lo aur thoda parhez rakho, baal phir se thik ho jayenge.

I have been diabetic for ten years, and yes, hair loss is quite common when levels are high. I had to strictly cut out white rice and processed foods to bring my levels down, which eventually helped my hair too. Please don't try self-medicating with random supplements, just focus on keeping your blood sugar stable first.

Yes, high sugar causes poor circulation which means your hair doesn't get enough nutrition! 😮 But don't worry, once you bring your sugar levels back to normal, your hair health will definitely improve too. Just stay positive and eat healthy! 👍
