Can high sugar cause hair loss?

I've been dealing with increasing hair loss, and my doctor mentioned my sugar levels are a bit on the higher side. Is it possible that high blood sugar can directly contribute to hair thinning and loss? I'm trying to find the cause.

Yes, high glucose levels affect blood circulation, which means your hair follicles don't get enough nutrients. As a health professional, I'd suggest getting an HbA1c test done. Once your sugar is stable, the hair fall usually resolves.

Haan beta, bilkul ho sakta hai. Jab body mein sugar level badhta hai toh hair roots kamzor ho jati hain. Maine pyaaz ka ras aur methi daana pack try kiya tha jisse thoda aaram mila, par jab tak sugar control nahi karoge tab tak baal jhadna band nahi hoga.

Having PCOS, I know how insulin resistance and high sugar cause hormonal havoc leading to hair thinning. It's really tough to manage, but getting a proper diagnosis and diet plan from a specialist is the safest way to tackle this.

Arre yaar, is umar mein thodi sugar kya badi, mere sar ke baal toh gayab hi hone lage! High sugar absolutely causes thinning. Now I have to choose between eating my favorite sweets or keeping the remaining three hairs on my head!

I cried so much when my hair was falling out in clumps, and discovering it was due to high sugar made me feel even worse. It is a very stressful phase, but please don't lose hope. Your hair can recover once your body is healthy again.

Please don't worry, this is a reversible issue. High sugar causes inflammation which affects the hair cycle, but once you manage your glucose through proper medication and a balanced diet, the follicles will recover. Speak to your physician soon.

I manage both high BP and borderline sugar, and my doctor warned me that poor systemic health directly impacts hair volume. Regular checkups, cutting out refined carbs, and daily morning walks have helped me keep both my health and hair in better shape.

Haan na, high sugar causes so much hair fall, it is actually true. My sister had borderline diabetes and her hair got so thin. Once she started taking her doctor's advice and stopped eating sweets, her hair health improved, ho na.

Yes, chronic high blood sugar impairs microcirculation to the scalp, leading to hair follicle premature shedding. Stop wasting money on expensive shampoos. Go to an endocrinologist, get your sugar levels regulated, and the hair fall will stop automatically.

You can try applying pure aloe vera gel to soothe the scalp, but frankly, if high sugar is the root cause, natural remedies won't be enough. Please see a doctor to get your blood sugar under control, otherwise the hair fall will continue.

Haha, yes! Your hair follicles basically go on strike when they are drowned in too much sweet stuff. Ditch the gulab jamuns for a few weeks and your hair might actually forgive you and decide to stay on your head!

Putra, excess sugar creates heat and imbalance in the body, which damages the hair roots. Drinking amla juice daily helps, but the main thing is to avoid sweet foods and take your doctor's advice seriously. Take care of your health first.

Hey, don't stress too much! High sugar messes up your hormones and circulation, which definitely causes hair fall. Just cut back on those sweet cravings, drink plenty of water, and consult your doctor to get your levels checked. You've got this!

Bro, my diet was completely ruined during exams, eating chocolates and late-night maggi. My sugar spiked and my hair started shedding like crazy. Totally learned my lesson—too much sugar is a nightmare for your hair line.

With my busy schedule, I ignored my rising sugar levels and faced massive hair loss. Realistically, no hair serum will work if your internal glucose is high. Get an HbA1c test this weekend, show it to a doctor, and fix your diet first.
